3 Months

I can't believe Ethan is 3 months old already!  He is growing and changing every day.  Monday was his three month "birthday", so it is time for a bear shot!

1 Month!

Here's what is new:

*  "Talking" a lot!

*  Holding his head up really well

*  He wants to sit up all the time and will pull on your hands to help pull himself up

*  Smiles and laughs galore!  He seems to be recognizing Mommy and Daddy and greeting us with smiles!

*  The activity gym is still great fun!

*  He can now grab toys and shake them.  He will even scootch around to get to a toy!

*  Everything goes in his mouth, including his fist!  He can bring his hands together really well.

Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Brett, and Aunt Katie are coming to Colorado in a week and we are so excited to see them!  

I admit it.  I have a little bit of trouble watching Ethan hit milestones.  I feel like he is already growing up so fast and he is not even 3 months old!  This past week, Ethan has discovered that he can hold his head up really well and that he really likes to pull up into a sit.  So much so that he doesn't want to lay back on the Boppy anymore.  He always is pulling his head up to look around.  Give him your thumbs and this is what you get...

How is he growing up so fast?!?!  I really think he would like to just stand up and run across the room if he could!  Oh, and he found his toes this week.  That is funny to watch since he thinks he may be able to eat them if he sits up far enough!

In other news, Zach hit the big 3-0 last week!  Of course we took cute Ethan and Daddy pictures to commemorate the occasion!  And yes, his hands are always finding their way to his mouth!!

Month Two

Ethan recently turned two months old!  Wow, how the time is flying by!  I am trying to be that on top of it mom that gets cute month pictures to show how much baby has grown.  Well, we managed to get pictures for the first two months.  Except I didn't get my act together fast enough for a newborn photo.  And I forgot to make the two month sign for this month's picture.  So... that makes me a not so on top of it mom, but at least I am trying!  So, here is Month 2:

What's new this month:

• Goos, gahs, and other fun sounds!
• Lots and lots of smiles!  Big gummy smiles!
• We just moved into wearing 3 - 6 month clothing!  
• We love our activity gym!  He is getting really good at grabbing and batting at the hanging toys.
• We still hate tummy time, but are getting a lot stronger!  I think he'll be rolling over in no time!
• At his 2 month check-up, Ethan measured 23 inches and 12 lbs 4 oz.  He is 50th percentile for both!
• We are sleeping longer and longer during most nights!  Last night was 6 1/2 hours straight!

Can I really keep up a blog?

I have recently embarked on a new adventure as a full time mom.  Two months ago we were blessed with the birth of our son Ethan.  Ethan has grown like a weed since day one and I am already starting to forget all those milestones and cute things he has done, so keeping a blog seems like an appropriate course of action.  Plus, Ethan has family scattered all over the United States, so this will be an easy way to keep everyone up to date.  I pick up on computer things pretty quickly, but this blog experience is totally new to me, so please hang in there as I learn all that I can do! Now, the true question is will I really be able to keep up on posting to this blog?  We will see!!
